Techtite.com'sThe BIG Picture!A Techtite Weekly FeatureThe "Big Picture" for the last week of August, 2003 is: "Introducing: Mercury" (Tron 2.0, 2003, 1024x504 image) click picture for the link to the larger photo! Tron 2.0 was everything Enter the Matrix was supposed to be: a game with a story so rich, it's like watching a sequel all its own. It's also a beautiful game; no "ported from a three year old game system" nonsense here. I could go on and on about this game, though I already did in the review, so why repeat the obvious? The Big Pictures for the next few weeks will be from Tron 2.0. The first, offered upon the game's release the week of August 24th, is of the game's female character, Mercury. Not only is this character brought to life thanks to a voice by Rebecca Romijn-Stamos; she's also brought to life with the excellent graphic work here. In case you were wondering; this is a screen capture taken via a system with the new Nvidia Geforce FX 5900 Ultra, so this is as good as it gets...and it's pretty awesome, isn't it? The animated face that looks practically human, the glowing lines of the uniform, and the glistening, reflective pool of energy behind her. This is a cool scene. Watch for more like it, as the weeks progress...
