Techtite.com'sThe BIG Picture!A Techtite Weekly Feature
The "Big Picture" for the last week of August, 2003 is: "BloodRayne in mid-pause" (BloodRayne, PC version, 2003, 1024x768 image) click picture for the link to the larger photo! BloodRayne may not be the "Game of the Year," though it succeeds in its PC/Windows version for one simple reason; it isn't just the same old game video gamers played last year. Too many times (Enter the Matrix comes to mind) a game that could look even cooler on the PC than on game systems...doesn't, simply because it was initially made for a game system with 3-year-old graphic technology. Very rarely does a game offer the chance to turn on all your graphic card's bells and whisltes. This game is one such exception. The end result can be a lot like the shot offered here, with Rayne standing on a pedestal over a swamp, while reflections of the moon and nearby tree are clearly visible in the water below. This shot was possible thanks to another cool feature of the game; when you stand idle for more than 30 seconds, the camera begins to slowly rotate, giving a clear view of your surroundings, and Rayne in particular. This is the only "Big Picture" offered for the month of October. I apologize; but times have been rough here at Techtite.com. I'll try to keep the "Big Picture Of The Week" promise for the remainder of the year. See you here, November 3rd, to see what's next...
