Techtite's 2nd Annual Golden Ottos are awarded in these categories: Movies DVDs Multimedia Television ------------- Sidebar : ------------- What? No Video Game Awards?... ...sadly, Techtite's Video Game department is practically brand new, with the exception of a paltry number of reviews in past years. Although a revival of the page is now underway, it was not deemed appropriate to offer awards in a genre with so many consoles (PS2, XBOX, Gamecube), many of which were only recently purchased. See awards for these systems in the 2002 awards...

What are Golden Ottos? See the Golden Otto Awards' Main Page, to read the whole back story! 2001 was no easy year to release an entertainment product. Let's be blunt; 2001 was a truly, totally, hideously maudlin, disappointing year...and that's putting it mildly. This is not only the year of the infamous 9-11 attacks in America; this was the year my father passed away in January, with two additional close family friends who passed away in the following months. So, yes, I think I should be even more candid, and say it was one crappy year. However, this is what makes Techtite's 2nd Annual Golden Otto Awards so much more important. These are the entertainment products that not only entertained; they managed to be entertaining in 2001. That's no small feat from my perspective. Let the ceremonies begin!
