Television:

BEST TV SERIES: LOST. A lot of people on the internet are frustrated. This show keeps talking about the people! There's no big 'splosions on this island! There's no answer to what this "island" is! It's all about the people! It's in this why Lost is, to date, the best series on television. To those who want to know what and where this island is, I submit to you the obvious: this series is not called "The Island." It's called LOST. Lost as in; the castaways, and the "lost souls" each of them are. These are great characters in a great drama. Period.

Best Animated Series: Justice League Unlimited. Among all the village idiots living in pineapples under the ocean, is this one dying ember of classic, intelligent, thought provoking cartoons on television. It is a shame that as you read this, the series finale has already aired in most countries. But hey; The Simpsons is still on FOX! Okay; that was mean. My sincerest apologies.

Best TV Reality Series: The Amazing Race. Family Edition notwithstanding, this is still the best that reality television has to offer, as they made evident yet again in their recent season 9 premiere.

Best NEW Reality Series: Rock Star (INXS). Its finale sucked. It's premise rocked! This was cool. As for a band that will choose a winner who's really, really the best...maybe next time.

Best NEW TV Series: Surface. No; seriously. You should've watched it when it was still on. We're just saying.

Worst NEW TV Series: The Comeback. If it isn't shameful enough for someone to put Lisa Kudrow in a sitcom this bad, think about poor sitcom veteran James Burrows, who may very well mark this the last time he's ever seen in front of the camera, and understandably so. Ask not if someone is a diehard fanboy of Lisa's if they say they love this show, because come on; what did you like about it? Hello? Entertainment Weekly, we're looking in your direction. One of the "Best" TV shows of 2005, you say? Say it ain't so, or we'll never trust your TV section again.

Worst Reality Series: Big Brother 6. How embarrassing is it for a group of people to be nicknamed "The Nerd Herd" by a 20-something Star Wars fanatic? You know, I'm a diehard Star Wars fan, and even I must confess how very odd this was, no matter how fun it was to see this grown man tickled pink at getting his own "light saber" as an in-house gift. Yet this entire season, as a whole, was total garbage. Yes, girls, Kaysar is cute, or so you keep whining to us boys. He still totally sucked at this game. Viewers demanded he get a second chance in the game, only to see him stupidly give up an immunity challenge the first night. So he gets eliminated again, one week later! Egads...this...season...sucked. Then again; so does this overall series. A bunch of whiners locked in a house for the summer? Only a Sith Lord would call this a "challenge."

Worst Raping Of Our Childhoods: Muppet Wizard Of OZ. What do those knobs do on your chest Gonzo? "Oh, those are just my nipples." Minutes later, the "wizard of OZ" morphs into a human chicken and tries to seduce Gonzo. The rest is one big blur after that.
