A sister-list of sorts to this site's widely popular "Worst Characters that ever happened to great Cartoons," here's a similar list that should be just as fun. Ask yourself: what are the worst sci-fi character concepts of all time? The trick: they have to be from what, to some small extent, is considered "great" sci-fi.

Every list needs its rules though. For one thing there's the "great sci-fi" moniker. Look; everyone has their own perspective of great sci-fi. So let's keep the idea of "great" sci-fi fair and completely liberal...to, say, any sci-fi series lasting longer than three seasons, or for films: any movie that made 150 million or more. Love or hate such sci-fi: someone, somewhere, liked them ...and for the purpose of this list, that's good enough. It's all meant as harmless fun. Enjoy!

One last obvious question: are there characters who were worse than these? Of course! In fact; another list on this site already covered that, when covering the worst of the worst sci-fi, period. This list is just an example of how, in even the most popular of sci-fi, a character concept is only as good as the original idea...or the budget...or the script...or all of the above! Let the "good examples" begin:
