Why Otto?
Much like many awards that name the award after an
icon of some kind; the golden ottos are named in memory of "Evil Otto,"
the little smiley face in the arcade game Bezerk who would appear
whenever the game became "idle," Lawsuits? We don't need no steenkin' Lawsuits. Before the makers of the classic video game "Bezerk" get their lawyers in a tizzy, let's be clear: no direct affiliation with Golden Otto and "Evil Otto" is implied. Mama Golden just named her boy "Otto" because she loved the game. It also makes for a cool nickname for an online awards "show." Enjoy!

Techtite.com's 2008Golden Otto Awards!
A Techtite Feature Article2008 might've been a touch-and-go year in the world of movies and TV, in a year which began with a fortunately short-lived writer's strike. Yet as slow as the year began, it ended with a bang, particularly in games. Whether you love a sequel to an old Playstation "1" title, or you'd rather pretend to be a high-tech courier jumping from rooftop to rooftop, 2008 made you happy to be a game fan. What follows is a handily divided list of the best and "most disappointing" entertainment of 2008.
