The Worst Robots of all Time!

Here are some of them. Which one is number 1?

A Techtite Feature Article

Sure, Wall-e made over 60 million during its opening weekend. That isn't to say that a great robot story is easy. Let's be honest here: some robot stories though the years totally sucked! Which were the worst of them...?

Here are the rules to this list. First of all; no movies prior to the 1970's. Prior to that era of sci-fi, every robot looked like a walking waste paper basket. Listing every cheesy 1950's tin can robot, on one top ten worst-of-all-time list, would be futile. So no, for the purpose of this list; a B-movie like “Santa Claus Conquers the Martians” doesn't qualify as a worst robot movie per se. The robots on this list came out at a later time, when the bar had been raised for science fiction, and as a result, robot stories were supposed to be more imaginative...in theory, anyway.

That's the problem with all the robots on this list: missed potential. All the robots on this list were imagined around the time of Star Wars, or the like. They had the resources to make imaginative robot concepts, and instead...well, take a look for yourself, at some of the most bizarre robot ideas ever conceived.

We Begin The List With: The "Cult Classic" of BAD ROBOTS!
