Atari 2600 The first major gaming system should obviously have the largest number of people trying to keep its memory alive. The best source, as of this writing :

Intellivision Sadly, it's difficult to find an Intellivision these days. No Intellivision compatible units or add-ons were ever created; eBay.com (or a facsimile) is your only hope of a used system that might work for you. On the plus side, Telegames offers many old games for the system, including B-17 Bomber, Beauty & the Beast, and Microsurgeon. The best source, however :

Vectrex A unique game system, indeed. These systems are rare, as are the games. If interested in such a unit, my recommendation is this: whenever one pops up on eBay, GRAB IT! At the extreme least, however, there's always:

ColecoVision A nice unit, with a not-so-nice future. However, the eventual sell-out of everything Coleco is their loss and your gain; a Colecovision clone was made, and is still available today!

| Colecovision ADAM As obscure of a "computer" that it was, there is indeed a Coleco ADAM convention, still held to this very day! However, that is of small help to those still wanting to get the system itself, or replacement parts. While there are a few places online that allegedly sell used ADAM hardware, I haven't tried any of them... | |
| Nintendo NES The nicest way of putting it is, always buy the latest Nintendo system, if interested. Unlike most other systems, most of their "latest" games are just upgrades of what they gave for their prior systems, anyway. Shadowgate is now Shadowgate 64, as is Mario 64, Donkey Kong 64, and so on. That's my advice, anyway... | |
| Sega Master System Again, an eBay search at best. There is also an emulator of some of the games, though it's not endorsed by Sega, so I'm unsure of how legal that is. I therefore cannot offer help in finding it. | |
| 3DO The party's over; 3DO is now a software-only company, and the system is the 8-track tape of the 90's. So much for the unit that was supposed to "replace the PC," eh? Some online game centers still have a few old games in stock available for the system, though that's pushing it... | |
| Atari Jaguar Yes, the excellent classic game warehouse, Telegames, has some Jaguar systems still available! They even sell the CD add-on and all games ever sold for the system! What's even cooler; they've made a couple of brand-new games for the unit, that you may not have played. Hop to that site now to check it out! | |
