In the original days of gaming, Activision had one COOL way to reward their fans. In each manual was a way-high score. If you sent in a picture of your tv screen, with a greater score, you were considered a member of that game's "club." They even sent you a club patch, FREE! These patches were impressively durable; each of mine is still untorn and unfaded to this very day. Here are 8 of the 16 patches I sent for. Did you get any others...? Pitfall's "Explorer's Club" patch; given the popularity of the game, this was perhaps the most widely owned game patch in its day. Its triangular size was also one of the largest, with most later patches being a similar circular shape, similar to the Decathlon patch shown below. |
