About The Review "system" :

System...? We're supposed to have a system to reviews? Just kidding. In all honesty, though, I've never been much of a fan for "grading" entertainment. If you wish for such a grading system, feel free to use the following system on a sumerical basis; where "deep impact" is 5 out of 5, and Burnout is one. Okay...?

However, why not have fun with a more amusing ratings system...? Here at Techtite.com, we try to have a little fun with the ratings we give, in the spirit of actual tektites. Actual tektites are fragments of rock that, scientists presume, are originated from small meteors and other debris that fell through the Earth atmosphere. The Techtite ratings system is based on that same amusing principle :

The "Techtite" Ratings System:

    • Burnout. Thumbs way, way down. This is the product that does everything wrong, or close to it!
    • Near miss. Thumbs marginally down. A potential candidate for the "What Went Wrong" department someday, this was the product with great promise, though made one too many mistakes to recommend.
    • Small Crater. Thumbs Marginally UP. Worth paying for, if you like the subject matter.
    • Large Crater. A "solid" Thumbs-up. Similar to a four out of five star product...or at worst, three and a half. A good choice, presuming you already bought/enjoyed...
    • Deep Impact! Think: the meteor that struck Earth and changed all life as we know it. Revolutionary. Perhaps even evolutionary. The best rating possible at Techtite.com. Must buy these!

To the more literal web site(s), As of this site's fifth anniversary, 2004, this picture rating system has been updated with a star guide underneath the rating icons. All reviews posted on or after January 2004 will be updated with the new guide. In the case of older reviews, for sites that prefer the five-star rating method: consider each icon one additional star, with Burnout one out of five stars, and Deep Impact being the complete five.

Remember : Review Submissions are always accepted! Don't agree with a review here? No problem! Write a review that is as elaborate as one of the ones here, and we just may add it to the site, as either a counterpoint (of an existing review) or as a whole new review! No review accepted will ever be thrust in a mere "forum"; it will be put alongside all other reviews here, for all the world to see, in style! For more on this offer, please; check the Submissions guidelines page...

Of course, there's also the obligatory disclaimer / legalese page... Many of the pix here are designed by Techtite.com. Others are often the actual scans and screen captures of the product reviewed. Such pix do not in any way show any association with Techtite.com and the distributors of said product, and are included only for the purpose of review. To not step on any toes, the pics are thumbnail sized only; regardless, if any pic is considered unacceptable to the product's distributors/creators, send an e-mail about it, and it will be removed immediately.
