About These Letters:: All letters will be responded to, either online here, via e-mail, or both. It doesn't matter whether you fill in the handy-dandy boxes on the offered form, or send a personal e-mail. However, in my experience, people are either more fond of one or the other method, so both letters options are offered here. Why no "snail mail" address offered? Because while junk e-mail is easy enough to delete, junk mail itself is a pain. It's a shame that I need to refrain from any publicly posted snail-mail address at risk of being put on endless mailing lists for unsolicited mail, though that's usually what happens. Sorry. ----------------- Feel free to contribute. As always, review submissions are accepted! ------------------ |

What Went Wrong With Dreamcast: Correction...?. After reading 'What went wrong with Dreamcast' I found something that should be corrected:
In the VMU User Manual, it clearly says 'The VMU will work correctly as a memory card -WITH NO BATTERY- but -WON'T WORK AS A MEMORY CARD WITH A BATTERY THAT HAS GONE FLAT-. 18 months ago I saved a Shenmue II game that is still there, and it is not the only one.
You're right; that passage was poorly worded; the err has been revised. However; the opinion stands: the Dreamcast's so-called "VMU" was poorly designed. Memory cards should not require a user's manual when all the card should require is 1)plug in card and 2)save game. Yet VMU's came with batteries pre-installed, that needed to be removed in order to make sure your games stayed saved at all? That simply makes no sense.
Birds of Prey was a bomb...but we really liked it. Listen, Birds of Prey sucked. Yeah, for one it didn't follow the comics and that made it stupid. You can't just take something that has already been written down then change it. That's like rewriting the bible. The show also sucked ass because they tried to "Dawson's Creek" the show. By that I mean it was too drama-ish and the action was too fake. Not to mention the characters were so one dimensional; they had no context of character. The acting sucked , and you know what, I don't think the huntress was even batman's daughter. So you see how people can think it blew. Pretty faces and special effects don't make something good. Bye.
Creative license is a shaky ground, but it's one used by even the most popular action movies. The Spider-Man movie had Peter Parker shoot webs out of "glands" in his wrists. The X-men movie had lovebirds Rogue and Wolverine meet when she was just a teenager(!). Let's not even get into WB's Smallville! So, why did one WB series succeed, and a similar one fail? The difference is that Smallville was geared towards girls who could care less what the comics do or do not say. Speaking of which; girls...? Lois Lane is Superman's true love. No matter how long this series lasts, Clark and Lana Lang do not end up together. Ever. I'm just sayin'.
Cosby/Full House on DVD...? I love Full House. I love to watch The Cosby Show. I wonder [when will it] be on TV.
Updated (August 2005)! We had bad news in Spring of 2004 (when first asked), but we have good news now! Both Full House and Cosby Show have their entire first seasons on DVD! Just click on the links here for Cosby Show and Full House to order either one of them. Enjoy.
"What Went Wrong" With Phantasmagoria's Marriage...? While reading about Phantasmagoria, you said David Homb married the lead actress? when did this supposedly happen and when did they get divorced? I have never heard this.
This is one of those news stories you hear about here and there, yet not much. Both The Internet Movie Database and the TV fan site TV Tome confirm the marriage, though neither can say when they married, and for how long. Game Spy had this to say, when listing Phantasmagoria in its "Hall of Fame":
This last news byte may help: she's been married to her husband David Hemingson since 2000, so she and Homb could not have been married long; the game came out in 1995. Hope this helps!
Wolf Lake Fans Still a Bit Peeved... Hi, for one I would like to ask the hell did you cancel Wolf Lake? It was a great show and I know because all my friends in Alaska watched it, it was one of the best shows I had ever seen. Please do something about trying to get back on, I will help however I can if you need my help. Please e-mail me if you have some good news for me. from a loyal fan of Wolf Lake, Rose
I agree. I liked that series a lot, as my review said back when it was on the air. It's a shame it's been cancelled. It had a lot of potential. Maybe a letter campaign to Sci-Fi channel is in order? They've been known to have an eye for sci-fi shows not getting their fair share on network TV. Maybe they could revive the series.
Hey...We Live For Cryptic Trolls!
No, but I may be jealous of Jedi Knights if they know what review you're talking about!
