All The News...Or Close Enough!

 September 16th, 2005

The Day Techtite News "Ended"

It sounds odd now, but for almost one full year, give or take two weeks, Techtite News was no more. So don't act all shocked when you click "back" past September 1st, 2006 and see a jump this far back. Yeah; this is no link error. For the better part of 2006, Techtite News was nowhere to be seen. Darn.

Techtite News began as a lark of sorts on the week of February 6, 2004. Janet Jackson had spawned the term "wardrobe malfunction." Intel just announced a new CPU. Various games announced either sequels or actual live-action movies. It was quite a week to start covering game and entertainment news. In short, it was fun to do.

It was considered a "wise" idea, around September 2005, to ditch the news and concentrate on entertainment reviews exclusively. The rest of the "news" would be in a "blog" of sorts, which, well...wasn't the best of ideas. Then again; it's not like much happened that we regret not reporting on.

Then summer of 2006 slowly came to an end, and all at once, all heck broke loose. Donald Trump Fires Carolyn. The Emmys snub Lost. The MTV Video Music Awards totally sucked. It's not that we like to bitch about entertainment, but come on; these are pretty major stories. We must have our say!

So begins Techtite News Anew, as it were. However, there's an added perk. If you have a news story you'd like to add, by all means, send it to us, and we'll give you the acclaim for the news byte, with any byline/nick you wish. It's "your" news column, after all. Those of us behind Techtite.com are just posting what's available.

Feel Free to get back to "today's" Techtite News Page, or go to "last week, to go even further back to the original Techtite News pages from 2004 and 2005. Enjoy.
