Martian Memorandum

(Access, 1991)

The second installment in the Tex Murphy series, this sequel to the original Mean Streets was quite fun; almost as fun as the original. Popular characters were met once again, along with a short video animation of each character when you first meet (for a game on mere floppy disks, this was pretty impressive!). Before you ask the likely question; yes, the game concludes in a Martian colony, which rivals even the ones in films like Total Recall. While a mystical secret's details are never quite revealed --nor further explained, even in the three following sequels-- the finale was amusing, if only because, once again, Tex gets the girl...just like any expert Private Eye should.

Rating : Large Crater.
