Police Quest III: The Kindred

(Sierra On-Line, 1992)

This was, IMHO, the last of the best of the Police Quest series. To me, it was also the very best. Although Sierra made all adventures with a way-too-simplistic icon interface at the time, Jim Walls was still able to create some fun puzzles in PQ3. In one amusing moment in the game, crimes pinpointed on a city map drew a particular shape; cool puzzle! This was the last Sierra game made by Walls, however, who later jumped ship to the short-lived software company, Tsunami. At least before leaving he gave us a fitting finale to the Sonney Bonds trilogy, via a truly fun classic adventure game. This game is even on Techtite's list of Top 50 Multimedia Classics...and for good reason.

Rating : Deep Impact.
