The Pandora Directive

(Access, 1996)

The fourth in the Tex Murphy detective saga, this continued in the tradition made by the original game, Mean Streets, while using the excellent 3D engine, introduced by the prior game, Under a Killing Moon. Added tweaks to an already-excellent game concept included alternate ways to solve most puzzles, leading to multiple endings! The best of the endings is really cute, though even the "unhappy" endings are humorous enough to make seeing them worth it, rising replay value a notch. Almost as fun was the guest star for this particular Murphy mystery, Tanya Roberts, as a vamp who may not have Tex's best interest at heart. This was a good sequel.

Rating : Large Crater.
