Day of the Tentacle
(LucasArts, 1993)
A popular game with the masses, this sequel to LucasArts'
classic graphic adventure game, Maniac
Mansion, pits you against one of the memorable "tentacles"
from that story. Game control was via three nerdish teens, one
of each going to the past, present, and future. Puzzles were
very good, as were some jokes, although I personally think they
went a bit overboard on the "nerd" factor of the main
characters...
