Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade

(LucasFilm Games, 1990)

One of the best movie tie-in games made in the 1990's --if not ever-- this was a fantastic graphic adventure translation of the film by the same name. Arguably, the only flaw with this game is one comparing it to modern games, since this was an era before sound bytes (no Indy voice-overs here), before CD-ROM drives (hence the no voice actors, I suppose), and even before most people had sound cards! The game's best addition was a hardcopy of "Henry Jones' Diary," free in the game box, which even actually looked the part. It gave you the feeling that you were reading the actual diary from the film, complete with sketches, photos, and news articles, plus writings of Indy's dad about various Young Indiana Jones adventures in his son's youth. As for the game itself, it even included multiple endings, separate from the movie! Cool idea.

Rating : Large Crater.
