Jazz Jackrabbit 2
(Epic MegaGames, 1998)
A disappointing sequel to the underdog hit, Jazz
Jackrabbit, this game was also arguably why we never hear of
the name "Jazz Jackrabbit" ever again, even in an age where Epic
Megagames has become "3D Realms," and 3D platformers are
rampant. However, the problem with this 1998, 2D side-scrolling game title
wasn't its dated gaming concept;
all of the original game's best attributes were taken away! This
included the way-cool 3D bonus levels, as well as most of the
more amusing animation. Apparently, the designers
of the game felt that gamers would prefer the option of two-player
internet play, where the second player would play Jazz's brother,
Spaz. "Spaz"...?
