Shadow Warrior
(3D Realms, 1997)
After the success of Duke
Nukem 3D, the same engine was used to make many other
similar games. This game, by the same company that made Nukem
itself, involved a parody of the classic Martial Arts film. Its
humor, however, wasn't taken too kindly by most gamers; some
even felt it was borderline racist at times. Some jokes were
also rather juvenile, including the name of the hero, Lo Wang
(heh, heh, Beavis; he said "Wang"). Not the best feather
in 3D Realms' cap, though at least many of the game maps were
amusing, as were a few challenges...
